Floral Lion, Prague, Czech Republic
A decorative bracket under one of the bay windows of the Palac Ferona. The apartment house, whose name translates into Verona Palace, is located at Havlíčkova 11 in the Nové Město section of Praha, Česká Republika.
This building was also the birthplace of the Czech author, Franz Werfel. Werfel was a contemporary and colleague of Franz Kafka, Max Brod, Martin Buber, and other Jewish intellectuals who flourished in the first decades of the 20th century. He married Alma Mahler, Gustav Mahler's widow, after she divorced architect Walter Gropius. There is a monument with a bust attached to the side of the building that includes this inscription: "In this house was born on 10 September 1890 poet and writer Franz Werfel, friend of the world."

Inside Staatsoper (Opera)
Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) was offered the directorship of the Vienna Opera in 1897. He was there until 1907 and joined New York Philharmonic in 1909. Where the Gustav Mahler's portrait hanged today was once where his office was.

Mahler 6 - Philips Symphony Orchestra
One of the famous 'hammer-blows' in the last/fourth movement of Gustav Mahler's sixth symphony.
This movement is characterized by drastic changes in mood and tempo, the sudden change of glorious soaring melody to deep pounded agony, and it is punctuated by three hammer blows.

Mahler Visionized / Ars Electronica Futurelab / Johannes Deutsch (2005)
The Ars Electronica Futurelab (AT) again collaborated with artist Johannes Deutsch (AT) on a performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony Nr. 2 in C minor as an interactive visualization in three-dimensional space. This work, commissioned by WDR, Western Germany’s public broadcasting station, premiered on January 1, 2006 to kick off WDR’s 50th anniversary year. The Cologne Philharmonic’s performance got rave reviews for its visionary staging in a new dimension. For WDR’s live broadcast, Futurelab staffers worked out a concept in which the interactive environment is captured by four virtual cameras.
